Hyderabad: Officers of the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) are faced with the difficult task of completing the Oliphanta Bridge works by the first week of October. The double elevation rail over bridge is being constructed over an existing elevated rail over-bridge at a height of 60 feet above road level.
According to engineers, Oliphanta Bridge will have an obligatory span of 272 feet. It will accommodate the eight existing railway tracks, with room for five more to be added in the future.

A senior officer from L&T said, “The speed of work has been increased. These are specialized jobs which are time-consuming and which require the presence of experts at the site of work. We are coordinating with different agencies to ensure that the works are carried out smoothly.”
